7 August, 2008 This thing ain't over yet!!
Ok, we've won the battle but we haven't won the war. Yet! It seems like it wasn't a bad idea to stir things up a little at cityhall. At first our objections and cries for help fell on deaf ears. No spaces available, no money, you know the normal kinda crap you tend to get from politicians when it's not an election (or should I say re-election?) year. Ok I'm calming down :)  We launched a press offensive and at the same time hooked up with the local political opposition. They supported our protest-rally, at least we think so. There was a banner and everything!! Anyway.....The bottom line is that we still can't rehearse in our beloved smelly, dampy shack. We can use the storage facilities but that's it. First there has to be an investigation whether or not the place is a firetrap. We probably have to fix the place up to pass the test but then we can stay there for another 5 years. So a small victory is ours. In the mean time we rehearse in a place that looks a bit like the quiet room at the looney farm with a drumkit that sounds like a wet fart and amps that sound like a vulture took a dump in it. But we're hangin' in there. This thing ain't over yet! To be continued.

7 Juli, 2008 Riverbreed start recording 2 new songs!
Yep it's that time again! On friday the fourth of Juli we started recording the drums for 2 new songs. "Leap of time" and "End of days". The recording session went down smooth and we're looking forward to record the other instruments. Due to the loss of our rehearsal space and therefor also the possibilities of using the studio, we're not quite sure when we'll be finishing the complete proces. But hé, we're not belly up allready, so we're pretty confident that everything's gonna work out fine. Just check the site for info.

7 Juli, 2008 Protest festival "Geef de muzikant de ruimte"
Ok, we're in trouble. We and a lot of other bands are going to lose our rehearsal space. We're connected to Popoverleg Schiedam and the city counsel has deceided that the building in wich we rehearse is no longer safe due to all kinds of regulations. Well to tell a long story short, we are gettin' the boot!! But of course we're not going down without a fight so there will be concert with practically all the bands who are connected to Popoverleg Schiedam. This event will be taking place on Juli the 19th at Podiumcafé de Graauwe Hengst in Schiedam. There isn't a time table yet in wich order the bands will perform but you can just swing by enjoy some great bands and support our course as well. So hopefully we'll meet you the 19th of Juli at de Grauwe Hengst. See you then!!
