25 May, 2009 We did it, oh yeah!!
We couldn’t believe our ears when the jury layed down their verdict…..And the winner is….Riverbreed!! According to the jury we were the most interesting band. Musically that is of course ‘cause you’ve seen how we look so we didn’t win on “looks” so to speak. But hey, we don’t give a flying fuck, we’re playing at Greppelpop and that’s what matters! We all agree that it was a good thing that we played first because now we had the time to level-out our guitarsound and get everything on track. This time we changed the set a little and that turned out to our advantage. The set was more balanced than the first gig we did at the Taverna and we got a good response from the crowd. So it is a done deal, we will be performing on the 20th of June on Greppelpop in the town of Nieuwe kerk a\d IJssel. We will play for half an hour. We’ll start at 19.00 till 19.30. We’re looking forward to it and hope to get some people interested in our music who normally wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole. Greppelpop is a free open-air festival and all day till late in the evening all kinds of bands will be playing so there is something for everyone to enjoy. But of course you guys ‘n girls will be there for us! ( this said with the danger of being called arrogant) ;). So all we have to do now is to get our set as tight as a doorknob and pray for good weather. We hope to catch you on the 20th of June!

2 April, 2009 Time for an update boys and girls!
It’s been a long time that the news page was updated so here we go. We’re back in our own rehearsal place. One way or another we we’re able to convince the town council that there is a need for such a place. We can stay put for a couple of years and after that period of time they will bring in the guys with the sledgehammers and it’s over and done. Well, we cross that bridge when we come to it. We played a gig in De Gonz in Gouda. We had a great time there and met the guys from Room 32 who played before us. Great guys with great songs so check ‘m out if you got the chance. The plan is to play some more gigs with them and we’re looking forward to it. Also a big thank you to all the guys and girls from De Gonz for the warm welcome and tight organisation. We’ll be back! So what’s cooking at the moment? We are participating in a contest to earn a place on stage at Greppelpop. It’s an open air festival and we’re more than eager to play there. Hopefully we’ll extend our fan base because there will be a lot of people there of all ages. In order to get there we have played De Taverna and competed with 2 other bands and holy shit we won! We have to play there again on the 17th of April and there and then it will be decided who’s gonna play on the festival. So if you’re not doing anything that evening just come on over to support us on our quest for a place on stage at Greppelpop. And for the moment that’s all folks!
